Rhyme and Reason

It says something

Of the nature of the mind

That you can accept this

Almost as a rhyme…

The slapping of the waves

On the open beach,

The ever so gentle wind

In the dark foliage,

Out of reach;

The hum of the giant black bee,

Searching, ever seeking

In urgent pace,

The reason for its own time…

And its own space.
